ATLAS-CRAFTSMAN 3986 & 3985 12″ Metal Bench Lathe Instructions and Parts Manual

$17.50

Description

Number of Pages: 21

This is a reproduction, not a photocopy, of an Atlas 12″ Bench Top Metal Lathes for Models 3985 and 3986 Instructions and Parts Manual. The manual covers how to properly mount the Atlas lathe and motor on a bench. It contains information on setup, lubrication, maintenance, and adjustments. The manual also contains clear and easy to read explosive view diagrams of all the parts with parts descriptions. This would make it easier to take apart to work on, or order new parts for the Atlas 3985 and 3986 lathes. These models were manufactured in the 1970’s.

We also have the Manual of Lathe Operations that would cover these model. I highly recommend this book, because it covers how to properly operate a metal lathe, includes the threading charts, and shows how to use all the attachments Atlas made for this lathe. We carry 6 different versions of this book to cover the different models the one that covers the Atlas 3985 and 3986 is located at this link:

Overview:

I have collected this information for many years and have found the information they contain to be priceless in using and setting up the machines properly. I believe this manual will be a valuable resource of knowledge that will provide a lot of helpful information that is often hard to find. My manuals are not photocopies. I maintain a high standard of quality in my reproductions. Most of the manuals I reproduce look better than their originals. I have professionally digitally edited every page, and removed stains, wrinkles and handwriting. All of the manuals are printed on thick white paper to withstand shop wear and tear.
